Standard Specifications

The integrated screen frame consists of:

• A steel structure manufactured from various mild steel channel sections bolted or welded together, shot blast and spray-painted with protective paint.
• Provision is made for a drip tray and over flow chute all in normal mild steel.
• The inner part of the under pan will be rubber lined with 6mm natural rubber.
• The drive pulley consists of a mild steel construction, and its face will be covered with a diamond pattern natural rubber lining.
• The return rollers consist of diameter 152mm mild steel tubing welded construction. The roller face is rubber lined.
• The support rollers consist of diameter 127mm mild steel welded construction . The roller face is rubber lined.
• The return rollers and drive pulley are fixed to the frame with plummer- block bearings, complete with taper sleeves and locating rings. Where feasible, the normal bearings are replaced with maintenance friendly Vesconite bearings.
• The support rollers and tracking roller are fixed to the frame with plummer-block bearings, complete with standard bearings, taper sleeves and locating rings.
• Each machine will be fitted with 2 spray bars. The function of the top PVC spray bars, spaced after the distribution box, to ensure that the overflow is washed properly and therefore enhances the metallurgical performance of the screen. The function of semiautomatic stainless steel spray bar, after the drive pulley, is to ensure that all the over flow is washed from the screen cloth into the overflow chute and will therefore enhance the cloth life. This spray bar can be cleaned while the machine is running.
• Depending on the condition of the spray water, we would recommend that a water strainer be installed to remove the bigger solids.
• The Guide Dog Tracking System consists of a Cylinder or Bellow Tracking Device, Tracking Valve and FRL Combination with Auto Drain.
• The drive unit consists of a spiral bevel helical gearbox, supplied by Bonfiglioli or the customers preferred supplier, and driven by a direct drive electric motor system.
• The incoming slurry will be fed through HDPE distribution plates equally over the screen cloth.
• The inner walls of the distribution box will be covered with polyurea.
• Each machine is fitted with 2 electric limit switches, one on each side of the cloth. These limit switches are installed to avoid the cloth running into the frame during a drop in pneumatic pressure or any other failure of the tracking system.
